Crescent Moon Snowshoes Get Big Upgrades

Crescent Moon Snowshoes Get Big Upgrades

Crescent Moon, an elite eco-friendly snowshoe producer, announced today upgraded features on its highly regarded line of snowshoes including both the Gold and Silver series for the upcoming winter season. . The best-selling Gold Series features one of the best bindings on the market, and includes a variety of snowshoes with backcountry, hiking, and recreation specific models for men, women and children.

“We’ve designed our shoes to be multi-functional, and easy to use, and as an outdoor products manufacturer we’ve also committed to making our products here in the US so we can build them PVC (polyvinyl chloride) free, which is a significant step towards reducing our environmental impact,” said Jake Thamm, President of Crescent Moon. “by comparison to our competition we are a small company and we therefore have a significant incentive to deliver outstanding customer service, a core value of Crescent Moon, whether over the phone, in person, or by standing behind our products with a lifetime warrantee.”

The upgraded features for both the Gold and Silver series include an enlarged binding designed to provide greater support, the addition of a “stabilizer beneath the foot for outstanding control in all terrain, a stomp pad on the Gold series that is three times bigger than previous models and the utilization of new eco-friendly materials thereby enhancing the entire snowshoe experience for all Crescent Moon customers. The company has also gone to a more durable, slightly heavier decking material, called TRGS (the really good stuff) to extend the wear and life of all the Crescent Moon snowshoes but without sacrificing the “lightweight” feel of the shoe.

Standard features of the Gold Series include: the SPL binding which uses a ratcheting heel and toe harness system, easily adjusting to any size foot with one quick pull; stainless steel three-claw traction system for ultimate control; and TIG welded powder-coated aluminum frames for greater strength and durability. Crescent Moon’s distinctive tear-drop shaped frame enables optimal maneuverability and flotation resulting in an extremely comfortable and athletic snowshoe. Crescent Moon is based in Boulder, CO and has been making its line of snowshoes and accessories entirely in the US since 1997.

The Crescent Moon Gold Series snowshoes can be purchased at top retailers and specialty outlets worldwide and online at www.crescentmoonsnowshoes.com.
